No holiday thanks to Chicken Pox

Sad today, L was supposed to be going away with her Auntie and Uncle for a long weekend. She has been excited all week. Two days before she complains of a headache while staying at her dads. And the following morning the headache is still there. She went to school as she missed a fair bit last year..

So when she got home I ran her a bath and finished off packing her bags for her holiday. When she got out I noticed a strange blister on her neckline...Showed her dad and decided to look on the Internet..looked just like a chicken pox!!!!

We managed to get her into the doctors immediately and yes diagnosis confirmed. No holiday for our baby. She was devastated to say the least. I feel so sorry for her. Its not like I can afford to replace this holiday. And she has waited for so long to go away with my sister. The amazing thing is she manages to put a smile on her face, and look at the positives..like getting Chicken Pox out the way and I have let her play Club Penguin.

SO how can I make it up to her? I want to do something nice, and something new, but on a budget of near enough zero I am unsure what I can do. I wonder if there are any places where you can freely pitch a tent? Anyone know of any? Or have any other suggestions?
