Just an ordinary mum

As a mum to my wonderful 8 year old daughter, I find myself asking questions daily. I am doing this blog to air my thoughts, express myself, to hopefully get some helpful feedback and who knows maybe be if some assistance to someone else..even if it shows them that they are not as silly as I am.

So just a bit about me...I am 31 and recently became a single mum. We sacrificed the relationship to save the friendship and it worked perfectly. He is very supportive and a great friend to me and a great dad to our only child, who for the purpose of this blog I shall call L.

L will be turning 9 in June, she is a great girl and has always been a pleasure. We have been blessed so far as she has never been hard work. Not even during the terrible twos...but do not take this to mean that she must always get what she wants. I will discuss how I avoided the terrible twos in a later blog.

So that is our family unit, possibly like yours, possibly not. However if you are a parent too we shall have one thing in common at least. The desire to raise our children the best we can, for them to be happy, healthy, secure and strong enough to survive in this world on their own two feet.
